INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS AT OVU
International students are a welcome part of the Ohio Valley University student body. In fact, international students represent approximately 10% of the University's total student body. These students come to Ohio Valley University from 17 nations: Canada, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Japan, Liberia, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Philippines, South Korea, Sudan, Taiwan, United States, Vietnam, and Zimbabwe.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES
Ohio Valley University offers a variety of student services designed specifically for International Students. Those services include: conversational English classes at no charge; airport pick-ups; various recreational activities; assistance in applying for a local bank account, a driver's license and a social security number (please note: the federal government places certain restrictions on the availability of social security numbers); and international cuisine in the dining hall.
In addition, international students are encouraged to take advantage of the activities the University offers for all students.
