NOTE: A letter of recommendation from a high school choir/band/orchestra director or private teacher is required for ALL scholarship auditions and must be submitted by the application deadline.
Express Scholarship [Apply Online]
- One accompanied song, preferably from the contemporary Christian genre.
- One unaccompanied hymn (slow tempo).
- Be prepared for an aural skills test (sight-reading and pitch memory exercises).
Choral Scholarships [Apply Online]
- Prepare one art song, aria or folk song to be accompanied by piano; this should be the type of piece one would perform at a solo and ensemble competition.
- Be prepared for an aural skills test (sight-reading and pitch memory exercises).
Instrumental Scholarships [Apply Online]
- A sonata or concerto with two contrasting movements (fast-slow) or two contrasting etudes. Students may also substitute one movement with a jazz tune to show technical proficiency and/or improvisational skills.
