Colgrove is a 2002 graduate of OVU with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. In addition to her love for golf, she played varsity basketball for the Fighting Scots and club soccer. She has been employed with the Wood County School system since 2003. She has served as an instructor in the Junior Golf program at Oxbow Golf Course for the past four years and was the first golf coach for VanDevender Middle School in Parkersburg for the 2008 school year. Colgrove has competed in the West Virginia Golf Amateur since 2006, placing 12th in last year’s tournament.
“As the kids like to say ‘she has mad skills’ and we’re delighted to have her back on campus and part of our coaching family,” Lyons said.
“Being back at OVU is very enjoyable,” Colgrove said. “Many of the same faculty and staff are still here from my undergraduate days that help to make the transition easier. Becoming re-acquainted with these surroundings is a fun experience and everyone at the University has been very friendly and helpful with making things transition as smoothly as possible.”
Colgrove and her husband Jeremiah, also and OVU alumnus, reside in the area with their three sons.
