Nine Ohio Valley University students were inducted into the West Virginia Zeta chapter of Alpha Chi, a national college honor society, at the November 8 induction ceremony.
The new senior members are: Brittany Morgan Padgett of Louisville, Ohio and Harold “Bud” Tate of Vienna, W.Va.
The new junior members are: Mara Katrine Gilay Capati of Tucson, Az.; Emily Cuneo of Stow, Ohio; Carly Kathleen Joy Johnson of Grafton, W.Va.; Julia Secoy-Prim of Parkersburg, W.Va; Natalie Hope Stanley of North Spring, W.Va.; Ashley N. Wilcox of Colliers, W.Va.; and Ethan J. Zimmerly of Millersburg, Ohio.
Officiating at the initiation was chapter official sponsor Dr. Jonathan P. Miller. Ohio Valley University faculty member Dr. Phil Sturm addressed the inductees.
Membership in Alpha Chi is limited to no more than top 10 percent of the junior and senior classes. The objectives of Alpha Chi are to promote and to recognize superior scholarship and those elements of character that make scholarship effective for service. The society, founded in 1922, has more than 300 chapters.
