Our popular Ohio Valley University Bible Class Teacher’s Workshop provides practical advice, proven techniques and effective tools to communicate God’s word in your Bible class or group.

Learn from a variety of teachers, group leaders and facilitators whose experience spans all age groups—from preschool to adults.

Cost: $15 per participant

Teaching kids through sensory stimulation and engaging them through interactive stories, songs, crafts and games. The story of Noah’s Ark will be used as an example and showing several different ways of teaching the children through their senses.

Helping children discover God’s truth by writing Jonah’s diary, putting together Moses’ scrapbook, performing a trial for Jacob when he stole Esau’s birthright…

Teaching High Tech Teens In A Low Tech Church

Teachers will be given practical ideas on how to teach teens when the technology may be limited or not available in the classroom.

Teaching the Unchurched

Bible stories are for everyone, no matter the age. We'll discuss characteristics of Bible class students and apply them to familiar Bible stories, preparing us to teach all ages.

Let's Get Talking: Effective Bible Class Participation

Presenter: Eric Croasmun

This session will focus on encouraging class participation, helping teachers gain skills and strategies aimed at promoting more discussion, making Bible class an effective group effort.

Basic Sign Language

Presenter: Marsha Croasmun (Certified ASL Instructor)

What would you do if a visitor came to your church service that communicated only through sign language? This class will show you basic signs in American Sign Language and the manual alphabet so you will be able to step in when the need arises, to make someone feel welcome and comfortable.

Special Interest: All Ages

21st Century Technology In The Church

Presenter: Nathan Greene

This class will be about using technology regarding worship, service transition, organization and sermon aids. Also, technology in advertising events, reaching the young, social media and church graphics.
