ACADEMIC ADVISING
Careful planing of a student's academic program is critical to his or her success. It is ultimately the student's responsibility for knowing their program requirements and for making sound academic decisions. However, students rely heavily on faculty and staff, and especially their academic advisor, to mentor them through these decisions.
These pages are designed to assist the faculty advisor and the student with the process of carefully making those decisions. Every effort has been made to include a comprehensive supply of documents, policies and other resources. If you have questions that are not addressed in these pages, feel free to contact the Registrar's office. Your questions will be answered as carefully as possible, and you may inspire additions to this resource site.
As you work with students (or students - as you work your academic program), please keep the Ohio Valley University Mission in mind
