· Pitt-Johnstown recognized last year’s All-Americans, National Qualifiers, and NWCA All-Academic Team members, as well as presented 2010 National Champion Shane Valko with the 2009-10 NCAA Division II National Wrestler of the Year Award.
· Pitt-Johnstown is ranked No. 14 in NCAA Division II and No. 3 in the East Region. Ohio Valley is ranked No. 13 in the East Region
· Pitt-Johnstown boasts a 2010 NCAA Division II All-American and a national qualifier in its line-up. Chris Dempsey (HWT.) is coming off of an eighth-place national finish after qualifying for the national tournament the previous two seasons, while Ryan Link qualified for the national tournament at 125 lbs. as a red-shirt freshman. Dempsey is ranked fourth in the country and No. 1 in the East Region at heavyweight, and Link is sixth nationally and second in the region. In addition, four other Mountain Cats are ranked in the top-six in the East Region. A.J. Brentzel (184 lbs.) is third, Steve Makin (174 lbs.) is fourth, Jon Moore (197 lbs.) is fifth, and Zach Lundgren (165 lbs.) is sixth.
· The Mountain Cats travel to the Penn State Open on Sunday, before hosting NWCA No. 18 East Stroudsburg University on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Sports Center as part of a double header with the Lady Cat basketball team. The Lady Cats will play Slippery Rock University at 5:30 p.m.
