VIENNA, WV – Ohio Valley University women’s cross country runner India Bryant was recently named to the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second- all-conference team.
Bryant, a sophomore from Ripley, West Virginia, is majoring in elementary education and psychology at OVU. She is the daughter of Thomas and Beverly Bryant.
“India has become one of those runners that gets how to train, how to study, how to rely on God and how to believe in our program,” said Rick Dobson, OVU head women’s cross country coach. “She arrived at OVU last year running a 23:44 minute cross country race. Since joining our program she has shaved three full minutes off of her average time from just a year ago. I would love to have 10 more just like her.”
Ohio Valley University is a proud member of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and competes in the NCAA Division II in men's baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer and wrestling, as well as women's basketball, golf, cross country, softball, soccer and volleyball.
