OVU Men’s Lacrosse Inks Two New Recruits, Featured on ESPN’s Website

VIENNA, WV (December 8, 2011) – The Ohio Valley University men's lacrosse team has announced the signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2013 season, Josh Tracy (Aurora, Colorado) and Travis Rasmussen (Centennial, Colorado).

Both student-athletes play at Grandview High School in Colorado.

“These guys are some talented defensemen. They complement each other very well,” said Corey Struss, OVU assistant men’s lacrosse coach. “Josh is a speed and takeaway kind of guy and will cause some havoc down low. Travis plays great body positioning and his slides are spot-on. I expect them to push our defense to the top.”

Tracy, who played football for many years, has excelled at a tremendous rate in lacrosse. After turning down Division I offers to pursue his talents at OVU, he will be looked upon as a leader through his athleticism and talent.

Rasmussen has been a starter at both LSM and down low defense. Using his size and strength as an advantage, he will bring an unprecedented attitude to OVU's defense.

Tracy was interviewed by ESPN High School Lacrosse Editor Mike Loveday. The article is featured on ESPN’s website at http://espn.go.com/blog/high-school/lacrosse/post/_/id/1959/grandview-colo-senior-to-ohio-valley.
