VIENNA, WV (December 6, 2011) – Area youth will have an opportunity to improve their baseball skill sets in December and January under the direction of Ohio Valley University’s collegiate baseball coaching staff.

Each camp will provide individual and group drill work, written and verbal evaluations, as well as personal instruction on hitting, pitching, catching and throwing by the Fighting Scots coaching staff. Youth camp coaching staff consist of OVU Head Baseball Coach Bob Crawford, Assistant Baseball Coach Ryne Romick (former University of Akron standout), Assistant Baseball Coach Tyler Engle (former Ohio State University standout), and members of the OVU varsity baseball team.

“Athletics are a great tool for learning so many different things in life – everything from discipline to responsibility, sportsmanship, and the ability to work with a team,” said Bob Crawford, OVU head men’s baseball coach. “Our camps are focused on the whole package - mind, body and soul.”

Registration for each camp session will begin one hour before start time on the first day of each camp session. Only cash and personal checks will be accepted. Make check payable to OVU BASEBALL. Payment must be received before players are permitted to participate. Payment may be made on the first day of camp.
