Discretion should be used in choosing places of entertainment. Members of the OVU community should not patronize or be employed by establishments providing service or entertainment that is obviously at odds with Christian character and the values of the university including dance clubs, night clubs, strip clubs, private parties, and bars. Specifically, members of the OVU community should not attend any establishment or event at which a primary purpose is known to be the sale and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Violations of the Inappropriate Entertainment policy may result in the following disciplinary responses:
1st Offense = Minimum of 3-day Suspension + Individualized Action Plan
2nd Offense = Minimum of 5-day Suspension + Individualized Action Plan
3rd Offense = Suspension for remainder of semester + Re-application to enroll in subsequent semesters
