Respect for Property and Theft

Members of the Ohio Valley University community should demonstrate proper respect for the personal space and property of others.

Entering the personal space (i.e., residence hall room, car) of another person without his/her permission is a violation of this policy and may result in the following disciplinary responses:

1st Offense = Minimum of 1-day Suspension + Individualized Action Plan

2nd Offense = Minimum of 3-day Suspension + Individualized Action Plan

Additionally, taking the personal property of another is a violation of this policy and may result in the following disciplinary responses:

1st Offense = Minimum of 5-day Suspension + Individualized Action Plan

2nd Offense = Suspension for remainder of semester + Re-application to enroll in subsequent semesters
