Young ministers working in Churches of Christ are often geographically isolated and they may struggle with ministry. To support these people, OVU is offering a two-day time of enrichment, fellowship, and in-depth learning.
The Barnabas Brotherhood for Young Ministers Seminar will take place following the OVU Bible Lectureship. This gathering of young ministers (under 40) will begin at 1:00 P.M. on April 4 and end at 3:00 P.M. on April 5. OVU President, Harold Shank, will convene the meetings to explore ways in which those in ministry can be encouraged and equipped. A second gathering is tentatively planned for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in October 2012.
There will also be sessions for the wives of these ministers. No child care will be provided for this first meeting.
There will be no charge for the Barnabas Brotherhood Seminar. Free housing in homes and meals are available to those who register prior to March 15. Email Glenna Harrison or call 304-865-6003 to register.
Please pass this invitation on to any young minister or young minister’s wife you know or send names and contact information to Glenna Harrison or Harold Shank.
We are excited about this new initiative to support young ministers and their wives. We believe that the Barnabas Brotherhood will provide a powerful network and support systems for ministers and ministry couples.
