Because many students are interested in the subject of psychology and how it may supplement another occupation or violation, the Psychology – General Track was created to provide a brief yet balanced study of the field of psychology. This degree program is designed to serve a student who desires enough content knowledge in psychology to improve life and interpersonal skills, but whose primary major is in another discipline. This degree program is also designed to serve a student who already has a bachelor’s degree but would like to change careers.
To be eligible for this major, the student must have a primary major outside of psychology. Students who have previously completed a bachelor’s degree at an accredited institution are also eligible to complete this degree.
In addition to fulfilling the psychology core requirements (29 credit hours) and other requirements listed under degree requirements, students completing this track must have a primary major outside of psychology and meet the following course requirement (12 credit hours).
