A student's total scholarships or grants, whether from federal, state, or private sources, when combined with scholarships, grants-in-aid and other discounts funded by the University, cannot exceed the student's total direct costs. Direct costs include charges for tuition and standard fees for all students, as well as housing and board charges for resident students. Should the student's total awards from aid sources exceed total direct costs, institutionally funded scholarships/grants (including academic scholarships) will be reduced accordingly.
