A student's total scholarships or grants, whether from federal, state, or private sources, when combined with scholarships, grants-in-aid and other discounts funded by the University, cannot exceed the student's total direct costs. Direct costs include charges for tuition and standard fees, board plans, as well as room charges for dormitory residents. Should the student's total awards from these sources exceed total direct costs, institutionally funded scholarships/grants (including academic scholarships) will be reduced accordingly.
