Carl Anderson

Entering into his first year of coaching, Carl Anderson continues to hold the reigns of the Fighting Scots Lacrosse Program. A graduate of Newington High School (Newington, CT) where Anderson played both midfield and attack for the Indians, Anderson enrolled at OVU in the fall of 2005. It was then that Anderson inaugurated the Ohio Valley University Lacrosse Team. Playing at the attack position as a Fighting Scot Anderson averaged 2.5 goals per game during his collegiate career and holds the second place ranking for all-time career goals at OVU. Anderson coached and led the club program for four and a half years achieving ranks as low as 12th in the nation. Anderson found a way to remain successful while obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the field of Communications. Anderson is a 2009 graduate of Ohio Valley University.



Currently, Anderson resides in Parkersburg with his wife, Audrye, who is also an alumnus of OVU.

 

COREY STRUSS

A recent graduate of Seton Hill University, Coach Struss was a 3-year starter as the Griffins goaltender. In his time there, he led the team to national prestige with a peak ranking of #7 in Division II. Struss set the school record for most saves, highest save percentage, and wins. In his junior season, he was name as the Team Defensive MVP. He also received All-Conference (ECC) honors during his senior campaign. In this same year, he was named as team captain for the Griffins. Struss' extensive knowledge on the defensive side of the field will be taken to the next level at Ohio Valley University, where he will anchor a young but versatile defense. Lacrosse has always been his passion, both as a coach and player. With his hard-work mentality, dedication, leadership, and motivation, Coach Struss will play a pivotal role in developing a standout defense at OVU. Struss was a 2010 graduate at Seton Hill University, earning his degree in Creative Writing/Education. He will be working towards his Master's Degree in Education at Ohio Valley University.
