Leadership Development encourages students to become spiritually reflective and socially responsible members of the OVU community. As leaders emerge, they will be involved in all facets of Student Life decision-making, programming, and policy-writing and enforcement as suggested by shared governance.
The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the core element of Leadership Development. Additional student-leaders emerge from within social clubs, resident assistants, spiritual life, and student workers. All student-leaders from those groups and the SGA are invited to attend a leadership event each August.
Weekly and monthly meetings of SGA executive officers, Parliament, social clubs, resident assistants, and peer mentors will provide opportunities to shape Student Life.
