“but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
~ Isaiah 40:31
Isaiah writes parts of his book to people who no longer believe that God is powerful enough to address the problems in their life, or that he is interested enough to care. But Isaiah describes God as one who is inexhaustible. Isaiah uses the image of an eagle to portray this inexhaustible God. As the eagle effortlessly soars above the currents and the canyons with powerful wings and a watchful eye, so, Isaiah says, God delivers His people and supplies our every need.
Isaiah addressed people whose lives were in shambles, whose buildings needed renovation, whose world needed renewal. In many ways we at Ohio Valley University live in that same kind of world. Yet we join Isaiah and imagine a new kind of future; a future in which we are renewed and soar into a brighter future than any of us individually thought was possible.
Join OVU as we imagine what this university can be, as we renew, and as we seek to soar to new heights. We cannot do it without God, nor can we do it without you.
Imagine. Renew. Soar.
