This is a very exciting time at Ohio Valley University and our new Honors program is no exception.
Ohio Valley University's new Metadisciplinary Honors Studies Program (MDS) is about far more than a group of courses from different disciplines, more than textbooks and tests, and more than collaborative learning exercises.
MDS honors students learn about all the academic disciplines by taking a challenging Biblical Worldview Curriculum--a curriculum that is alive, lived, and achieved by way of integrating the absolute criterion and standard of the Christian Bible within the liberal arts (humanities), sciences, and professional studies, into a coherent whole.
The first two years of our honors program provides an alternative way for students to fulfill OVU’s general education requirements. Instead of taking the University's traditional separate classes in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, and English, etc., MDS students stay in the same class with the very same students and professors earning honors credit for OVU's general education requirements.
Being a student in the Metadisciplinary Studies Honors Program is a mark of distinction and it shows potential employers, colleges/universities, and others, that you are the kind of student who goes above and beyond what is expected. University graduate programs most frequently grant scholarships to students with honors degrees with future employers hiring honors students because they can think critically and have a broad-base education.
There are no limits to what you can accomplish in being a student in OVU's Metadisciplinary Studies Honors Program. Learn with a world-class faculty-and have fun doing it!
I am here to help you achieve your goals. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance. Dream big to God's glory!
Again, welcome to OVU's Metadisciplinary Studies Honors Program.
