All Star Coaching Staff
Ohio Valley University Bowling Club is happy to welcome Hollyann Johansen to the position of Head Women’s Coach, and Ryan Patterson as Head Men’s Coach. Together they provide a wealth of professional experience in the sport that they are passionate about.
Hollyann Johansen
Hollyann is a former collegiate standout at Wichita State University from 2014-2018. Hollyann brings both individual and team successes from Wichita State University as well as Junior Team USA. Hollyann was an Intercollegiate Team Championships Runner-Up in 2016, a 2-time NCBCA First Team All-American and an IMBA Runner-Up Player of the Year. Hollyann attended Ohio Valley University for a semester in 2018 to finish her degree. “Being a member of a collegiate program completely changed my life and is something I will forever be grateful for. I am so excited to be a part of Ohio Valley University‘s program and help bring that collegiate bowling experience to the area. OVU is a wonderful school with staff that genuinely cares about each students success and I am thrilled for our student athletes to share in the experiences I had as a student there.”
Ryan Patterson
Ryan is a former collegiate player at McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. Ryan was a key member helping lead McKendree to a runner-up finish at the USBC Intercollegiate Team Champions in 2013 and a National Championship victory at the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships in 2016 along with many other tournament wins. Ryan is extremely excited to return to college bowling and start a program in his hometown. “College bowling changed my life and gave me opportunities of a lifetime that are once in a life time. I am excited to bring the collegiate experience to the Mid Ohio Valley as well as the state of West Virginia to hopefully provide those same experiences I was gifted with,” Ryan said.
