Seventy-five Seniors Graduate from Ohio Valley University

In full academic regalia, seventy-five graduating seniors marched behind OVU Piper, Dr. Tony DeVore, to begin the OVU Commencement Ceremony this May.

Of these, thirty graduated with honors, and eleven received a Master of Education Degree. In addition to students receiving Baccalaureate and Master Degrees, nine others were awarded a two-year Associate Degree. Mr. R. Booth Goodwin, II, Esq., a former US Attorney for the Southern District of WV, presented the commencement address to the graduates and to an audience of more than 600 others.

President Michael Ross presented the diplomas with degrees conferred in the School of Graduate Education, the School of Liberal Arts, School of Mathematics & Sciences, the School of Behavioral Sciences, the School of Biblical Studies, the School of Education, and the Gene and Joyce Wharton School of Information, Technology & Business.

Class members who spoke at the Graduates Awards Reception were the following: Emily Smith, Biochemistry Major; Bailey Woodfin, Elementary Education Major; Samuel Driver, Bible Major with minors in Christian Counseling and Greek; and Diego Thielen Guillen, Sports Management and Business Administration Major.
