Move-In Day

“Great Beginnings”

"We had a great beginning to the school year Fall Semester, 2019. When students began moving in on August 7, there was a difference in the air on campus. For me, the excitement was both exhilarating and humbling. Exhilarating, because the energy they bring is contagious and has the fresh smell of hope for our future. Humbling, because it heightens the realization of the awesome task of molding young lives. That task is our mission and purpose for today.

As we dive into the semester, I am excited about is the curriculum we have prepared for chapel. We are intentionally teaching words from Scripture on a weekly basis and then connecting them to real life experiences. Biblical concepts will now have a practical application. A true campus of character gives each student a strong foundation for lives as moms, dads, brothers, sisters, employers, employees, neighbors, athletes, and friends. OVU students will be prepared for life, not just a career.

I ask you to join us as we bathe this semester in prayer. Pray for our students, faculty, staff, board members, community partners, donors, and families. Please don’t leave anyone out. We have been blessed by God in so many ways and want to thank Him for all He has done, and will do, for OVU and our place in the Kingdom.
All things for Christ,
Michael”
