OVU Men's Soccer Team Ranked 15th in NCAA Division II

The United Soccer Coaches named Ohio Valley University's men's team 15th of all NCAA Division II programs in the 2019 preseason rankings.

Ohio Valley Men's Soccer enjoyed a historic run during 2018 with the program ranked as high as 2nd in the polls during their 18-6-1 season. The Fighting Scots finished the season ranked 10th after winning the Midwest Regional Championship by defeating Saginaw Valley State University 1-0. Tiffin University joined Ohio Valley in the poll as the only other Great Midwest Athletic Conference program ranked 18th.

Head Coach Jordan Valentine responds to the ranking with an eye to the future: “We are honored to have this recognition and excited to build our 2019 program on a prior success. We plan to continue the momentum and make 2019 even better." The Fighting Scots will begin the season against University of Charleston on September 5 in Charleston, West Virginia. The home team received a preseason ranking of 8th.
