Ohio Valley University Announces 2020 Virtual Graduation Celebration

Due to the challenges our world is facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ohio Valley University has announced that 2020 graduates will be honored through a virtual graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 16, starting at 11:00 a.m. with the official graduation ceremony being postponed until August 22, 2020. Although the OVU community is saddened that it cannot be together at this time, the safety of our students, their friends and family, and our faculty/staff remains a primary concern. The administration announced in March that the remaining scheduled classes and events would be canceled for the rest of the academic year. As the semester and school year comes to a close, we are so honored and delighted to highlight our senior’s accomplishments. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed. On May 7th, OVU announced that a virtual graduation ceremony will be held during a special Facebook Live event on Saturday, May 16, at 11:00 a.m. The virtual event does not replace an in-person ceremony and members of the class of 2020 will be invited to participate in a future in-person commencement on Saturday, August 22, 2020. More details will be announced as the date gets closer.
