Ohio Valley University Welcomes Lanice White as Director of the Well and Sakai Coordinator

Helping students achieve a successful life inside and outside the classroom through encouraging them to follow different career paths,” is the primary objective of Lanice White, OVU’s incoming Director of The Well and Sakai Coordinator. Both her undergraduate and graduate experiences at Freed Hardman and in the classroom for the past 20 years, will provide students the necessary tools to achieve their goals. “I am looking forward to being back at a Christian University and immersing myself into the culture surrounding OVU. I look forward to helping all students find success during their time here.”

In addition to working with students academically, Mrs. White excels in volleyball. “I am one of about 100 coaches in America to hold a CAP Level III with USA Volleyball.” Additionally, White is a Gold Medal Squared Volleyball Staff Coach. That expertise will prove useful as she assists her husband, Coach White, with this year’s team.

She included that God had a hand in her family's placement in West Virginia. “Our plans are not always God’s plans and we have learned to trust not on our own understanding but to lean on God and to follow His will.” Mrs. White’s life verse, Matthew 6:33, demonstrates great submission to her Savior, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
