Business Plan Competition Finalist

OVU College of Business student, Casey Parsons has earned his place as a top 5 finalist in the West Virginia Collegiate Business Plan Competition. His invention falls under the STEM and Innovation category which includes products or services with an emphasis in science, technology, engineering, math, energy and healthcare. This competition provides students with the education, skills, contacts and motivation necessary to create a viable start-up company in West Virginia.

College of Business Professor, Nicole Byrd, worked closely with Casey and expressed her pride when asked about his accomplishment, "As the faculty coach for Casey Parsons I am extremely proud that he has been chosen as a finalist in the WVU Business Plan Competition. This provides an amazing opportunity for him to showcase his hard work and determination at working toward a goal."

In April, Casey will travel to Morgantown, West Virginia to compete in the finals.
