Ohio Valley University is pleased to announce that their Men’s Soccer team will be taking part in the 2019 NCAA Division II Soccer tournament “Sweet Sixteen” this Friday, December 6th. The Fighting Scots (13-4-2) will be facing the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) for a right to move on in the tournament. Game time will be 3pm.

Dr. Walter B. Bice is the recipient of the 2019 Nick and Linda Johnson Servant Leadership Award, which was created in 2014 to honor the Johnsons’ service to OVU as community leaders. Dr. Bice was honored for his roles as medical practitioner, OVU Board of Trustees member, and provider of the wellness service available to OVU students. Nick and Linda Johnson and President Michael Ross presented the award during the President’s Dinner.

Forty-eight years. Nine American presidents. Six different OVU presidents. Over 90 new semesters. And thousands of students, including those whose mothers and fathers she taught years before. Professor Carolyn Sturm began teaching at Ohio Valley College in 1971 and has been an employee ever since, making her the longest continuously serving employee in OVU history.

The United Soccer Coaches named Ohio Valley University's men's team 15th of all NCAA Division II programs in the 2019 preseason rankings.
Ohio Valley University Alum, Lindsay Cole, has been named the university’s Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Having formerly served OVU as its Director of Financial Aid and more recently serving as Director of Student Services, Cole has agreed to assume this new role, adding her resume to President Ross’s progressive vision.

During one week in June, two hundred fifty teens from Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia made OVU their temporary home. They and approximately fifty adult volunteers worked as a team to paint twenty-five homes in Wood and Washington Counties--homes that would have remained unpainted otherwise.
